There are many people who provide nutrition advice.
Some people may call themselves nutritionists.

The title Dietitian or Registered Dietitian is governed by a
code of ethics. To practice as a dietitian, a person must
complete a 4 year Bachelors degree with a focus in
Foods and Nutrition from an accredited University. They
must also complete a dietetics internship from an

Late last year the World
Cancer Research Fund
together with the American
Institute for Cancer
Research released updated
guidelines for cancer
prevention. One of the
recommendations included
eating mostly foods of plant
origin. This included eating
at least 5 portions (or a
total of 400 grams or 14
ounces) of a variety of
non-starchy vegetables and
fruit every day.

Canada's Food Guide
recommends at least 7 to 8
servings of vegetables and
fruit per day for adults.
